And 2017 is upon us! I wish you all the very best for the coming year and I hope you’ll take the opportunity to reorient yourself to what matters most in your life. May this year be a time when you fruitfully invest in your well-being.
Here are some suggestions and encouraging resources that might help keep you on track.

1. Figure out what you want
I know new years resolutions are a bit cliché, but the evidence is clear; people who develop specific goals for their personal life are happier than those that don’t (click here for the research). So write down some goals!

2. Allow yourself to have expectations
There are always things that can get in the way of us having what we truly want and one of the most formidable obstacles is self-doubt. Here is a neat video that explains how low self-confidence gets in the way of getting what we want.

3. Prioritise personal connection
And if you’re a bit stuck and don’t know what to prioritise in 2017, my suggestion is to prioritise cultivating rewarding relationships. In fact, one of the world’s longest research studies has unequivocally shown that relationships are the key to happiness and health. Here is a fantastic TedTalk lecture on the topic.

Stay safe, have fun and all the best,
